New Twist to the TV Game Shows!

I told you, marketing is really fun! Just take a look at this new site that just came up: WhoGets.com (www.whogets.com)

In a nutshell, this site uses the really classic format of a “game show” where contestants join in the hopes of winning a prize. This is an Online sweepstakes contest!Now, the twist they have added is this: YOU, the user gets to vote who actually gets the prize. Now, that is a real twist if I ever saw one!

I have no idea how these guys are making money from this program, but they are promising no spam emails, no buying of stuff, no subscriptions – just pure fun. I can live with that!

Here’s how it works:

  • You sign up for free
  • You enter to win the prize (which could range from $10 – 600)
  • After 7 to 14 days, when all members interested in the prize have entered, 7 are randomly selected
  • Each will be put up to win the prize through votes from other members, they can post up a 100-word sob-story about why they REALLY need the prize! (ha!)

With prizes from companies like Target, Apple, Staples, eToys, Gap and more; I dare say there will be something that we can drool over. Let’s see, join for free, vote who gets the prize, no spam, no strings.

Well, I hope those who actually win stuff after reading this will send me a BIG thank you note… preferably in hundreds.
